Cudachess.org is an initiative to build an Open-Source CUDA Chess software.

CUDA is the nVidia technology to enable general-computing software to run on GeForce GPU, compiling C-Code into GPU code, offering unprecedented level of performance for parallel algorithms.

Chess is a challenge since the advent of programmation and algorithms, and so cudachess is here to be a proof-of-concept of CUDA technology, as multithreaded portable chess engine.
